Hi, I’m Nicole, I love vacations and exploring newer regions and destinations. I am more than smitten by travel & the spell it cast on me when I first encountered it in newspapers and magazines. I started The Nicologue to fuel this burning love and ever since have found the happiness I’ve been yearning for.

My Top Travel Experiences:

  • Sailing in the Mediterranean from Barcelona.
  • Getting lost while on a trail with a friend in Rouge Urban National Park, Canada (looking back, it merits to be here).
  • Losing my phone to torrential rains while on a wildlife safari in Minneriya National Park, Sri Lanka (it was disappointing losing my cell phone after).
  • Sitting and taking in the exterior of the majestic cathedral in Barcelona in the wee hours of the night.

My (current) travel bucket list:

  • Sailing to and around Antarctica.
  • Road Tripping around Iceland’s Ring Road and across New Zealand.
  • Swimming with whales in Tonga.
  • Spending a week basking in the sun and ocean in Seychelles/Fiji/French Polynesia.
  • Cruising the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.
  • Gaping in awe at the ethereal Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) in Scandinavia.
  • Exploring intricate designs in Morocco.
  • Walking with a guide in the forests of Zambia & Kenya.
  • Visiting the cute penguins in South Africa.
  • Soaking up the vast European history while visiting each European country.

My full time gig:

Professionally, I work in the marketing & digital communications industry and have worked with some exciting tourism and hospitality brands along the way. Some of them being Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts Sri Lanka, Greek National Tourism Organization, Israel Ministry of Tourism, Embassy of Iceland – Promote Iceland, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH). I currently work with a Digital Marketing Agency in Toronto and dedicate all of my time outside work hours to The Nicologue.

My education has been in Public Relations, Corporate Communications and Advertising which also helps me to this day with The Nicologue’s content.
