Hello and welcome to The Nicologue!
Hi everyone! I’m Nicole. I have always loved vacations and most of mine have been to or around Goa, the happy and relaxed state on the west coast of India. Professionally, I work in the communications industry and have worked with some exciting tourism and hospitality brands along the way. Some of them being Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts Sri Lanka, Greek National Tourism Organization, Israel Ministry of Tourism, Embassy of Iceland – Promote Iceland, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH).
I started #TheNicologue
as a step in the positive direction towards my love for exploring new locales, cities, and adventures around the world. It’s where I share my stories, experiences, and anecdotes with the world. It gives me a sense of satisfaction that I can reach out to people across the world through my blog and social channels.
I have traveled every year since I was born. This family ritual taught me a lot about thinking on my feet and embracing every situation. It usually involved a long-distance bus/train ride and on rare occasion, it involved flights.
My first tryst with immersive travel, the one where I planned almost everything was during a five-day trip to Hampi, an ancient town in Karnataka, India. This trip opened my eyes to a different, vibrant and inspiring worldview. Post this amazing experience, I have travelled to many other Indian cities, a number of times to the tropical island of Sri Lanka, Canada, and more recently some of the beautiful cities and towns of Spain and Portugal. I am eagerly waiting to explore every other city, island, and country out there.
I completely understand now why some travel companies and almost all travel bloggers maintain that travel will change you.
